Chemical peels apply a controlled acid solution to remove damaged outer layers of skin, triggering the skin's natural wound-healing and collagen-remodeling response. Dr. Piya selects a peel depth suited to your skin concerns and downtime tolerance, from superficial refreshers to more intensive resurfacing.
How It Works
Superficial peels (glycolic, lactic, mandelic, salicylic acid, or Jessner's solution) act on the epidermis, brightening the complexion and improving texture with essentially no downtime.
Medium-depth peels (commonly TCA 40–50%) reach the papillary dermis, addressing sun spots, fine wrinkles, acne scarring, and pigment irregularities such as melasma, with swelling and peeling lasting up to about a week.
Deep, phenol-based peels reach the reticular dermis for the most dramatic, longest-lasting results, reserved for select cases given the more significant recovery involved.
Ideal For
Sun damage and uneven texture
Fine lines and mild acne or rosacea
Melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Acne scarring
